Changes to the Charity Commission guidance means that the requirement for Trustees to have a direct ‘line of sight’ over safeguarding within the charity is now even more important. Jane offers a workshop for Trustees covering their duties for safeguarding adults and children, staff and beneficiaries, overseas responsibilities and provision of grants.
Jane can also directly train charity staff and volunteers, including those working abroad for UK based charities.
Every charity is required to have a Safeguarding Policy covering adults and children. Often these are not regularly reviewed and may not be robust. Jane is able to work with your charity to amend, or re-write your safeguarding policy so that it is in line with current legislation and with Charity Commission advice.
